Classical Academy operates under as a D.B.A. under the broader nonprofit organization G.A.L.S. (Guidance And Learning Services) Technology. Thus, all students enrolled in Classical Academy are given special discounts on all of the various educational programs, activities, and services offered by G.A.L.S. Technology. These include ACT prep courses, screen-printing courses, embroidery courses, fitness programs, tutoring services, and business/entrepreneurship activities.
About G.A.L.S. Technology:
G.A.L.S. Technology is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization designed to provide youth and adults with the educational experience needed to pursue careers and hobbies related to business, technology, and the arts. G.A.L.S. Technology furthermore is dedicated to supporting young adults in their pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavors by means of education, hands-on practice of skills, and opportunities to engage in non-partisan research, informational activities, and business projects. The purpose of G.A.L.S. Technology likewise includes increasing awareness of the technical and potentially life-changing careers available to youth and adults through internship programs, educational programs, both remotely and in-person, as well as through online courses and forums.
Flight Expo, Inc., a local non-profit who has been working closely with G.A.L.S. Technology, has also generously decided to offer special prices and discounts on all of their educational programs to students enrolled in Classical Academy. These include their Build-A-Plane program, Flying Club, Aircraft & Power Plant (A&P) program, and numerous shop classes.
About Flight Expo, Inc:
Flight Expo, Inc., was founded by a small group of enthusiasts interested in aircraft education and aircraft preservation. It was created due to the interest generated by participation in educational seminars at the Sport Aviation Conferences held at the Minneapolis Convention Center from 1994 – 2000. These seminars included presentations on experimental aircraft, aviation history, model planes, hot air balloons, aerobatics, war birds, air racing, antique aircraft, seaplanes, modern composite construction techniques, and avionics technology. The organization was responsible for the construction of a 1903 Wright Flyer replica as part of the United States Centennial (the 100 year anniversary) of Flight. (Full size reproduction) This aircraft has been on display in the Twin Cities area since 2003.Flight Expo, Inc. was the recipient of a part of Aviation History when it received the Tsunami Race Aircraft in October of 2013. Tsunami is a one of a kind race plane designed to become the fastest propeller driven aircraft ever built. In October, 2014 Flight Expo kicked off its first youth Build A Plane Program. This is a nationally recognized program, where students ages 12 to 18, restore or build full size aircraft. Since then, Flight Expo has expanded its programs to include a full-fledged flying club, ground school, and instruction for students pursuing their Airframe & Powerplant License.
